Fundraising for AMOR couldn't be easier. Here are some ideas to get you started:
- Run a sweepstake on a sporting event. You could choose anything from the Grand National to Eurovision, but the bigger the better to get lots of interest.
- Put on a 5-a-side football tournament and charge for places. This idea can work with other sports too. Choose one in which you and your friends or work contacts have an interest.
- Organise a quiz at your local pub. Charge an entry fee and offer prizes . All you need to do now is set some challenging questions.
- Host a wine-tasting evening. Charge your friends and colleagues for tickets and ask local wine merchants to donate tasters. Have bottles for sale at the end with a percentage going to AMOR.
- Organise a dress-down day at work and ask everyone to donate £1. Make it competitive and give a prize to your best-dressed colleague.
- If you’re feeling adventurous you could do a sponsored hike… parachute jump… bungee jump. A sponsored challenge could raise £1,000 – which AMOR could use to pay to help an indigenous girl complete her secondary education.
