Mission
AMOR's programmes help alleviate suffering among Mayan people in Central America, fight the causes of racism, poverty and injustice and help rebuild indigenous communities worldwide devastated by genocide, poverty and war through an education that helps all people realise their full potential and by reviving traditional knowledge.
Transforming lives in the UK, we empower people to take control of their future and change their own lives by helping others overseas.
Vision
We envision a world in which every single person flourishes through the realisation of their gifts and mission to serve others, supported by a healthy, productive and sustainable society, a society in which every inhabitant has access to peace, justice and their God-given space in the world. A future that respects and honours traditional knowledge, values, and culture, deeply interwoven in lands, languages, spiritual traditions, and artistic expression, and rooted in self-determination.

Values
- Lasting Change – We address the root causes of poverty and support social change processes that bring lasting improvements in indigenous people’s lives and provide equal opportunities for all.
- Community-Led Processes – Our work is native people-centred, responds to local priorities, respects the natural Native wisdom, and promotes creativity, innovation and learning.
- Grassroots Action, Global Impact – We seek to strengthen local leadership and organisations while pursuing common global goals by fostering connections between partners.
- Continual Learning – We strive to continuously improve our practice to ensure our work is sustainable, relevant and effective.
- Being the Change – We are committed to transparent, grounded actions and maintaining positive, coherent lifestyles that promote the causes we have taken up.
- Sustainability – We implement projects with strong local government buy-in, to encourage a more inclusive approach to the planning of services so that they meet the priority needs of the community in the most effective way.
- Promoting voice – We support and strengthen groups in the remotest areas and corners of indigenous society to ensure their voices are heard, and that they are able to articulate their needs effectively and hold government to account.
- Focus on the most vulnerable – We support the most vulnerable members of indigenous society - orphans, indigenous people, genocide victims, women, fatherless families - so that nobody is left behind.
